Cookie Policy

Knect keeps browser storage to the minimum needed to run the service. This page explains each category, in line with PIPEDA's meaningful-consent guidance and Quebec's Law 25.

1. What we use

  • Strictly necessary: authentication session tokens that keep you signed in to your workspace, and security tokens that protect form submissions. These are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off.
  • Functional preferences: small local-storage values such as your dismissal of the "Install Knect" prompt, so it is not shown again for 14 days.
  • Analytics: scan and card-view events are recorded server-side against the QR or card that was scanned. They capture coarse device, operating-system and browser family only — no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no GPS location and no stored raw IP address.

Knect does not use advertising cookies, third-party marketing pixels or cross-context behavioural tracking, so no advertising consent banner is required.

2. Third parties

Cookies may be set by our hosting and authentication providers strictly to deliver the service. Apple and Google may apply their own terms when you add a wallet pass to their apps.

3. Managing storage

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary storage will sign you out and prevent the workspace from working. You can also clear the app's stored preferences by clearing site data for https://link.cpxs.ca.

4. Changes

If we introduce a new category of cookie that requires consent, we will update this page and ask for your consent before it is set. See our Consent page for how consent is obtained and withdrawn.
